Steps to do the 24 hr famine

Step 1- Register

Read up about 24 hr famine, get in touch with us if you need clarifications, and register with your information. At the registration stage you should have already made up your mind on what you would be giving up for the 24 hr famine.

Step 2-Speak Up and Speak Out

Advocate! Talk about it to your friends, family, and your community. Let them know why you are doing what you are doing. If they share your notions and show interest, ask them to join in. Also, ask people to contribute for a good cause—what you bring in through contributions, remember, will make big big difference to these children.

Step 3-D’ Day. Do the 24 hr famine

On announced dates, do the 24 hr famine.

Here is a list of what you can pick up to forgo-

First Things First

To be any good as a famine fighter you first need to get your basics right. Read up as much as you can, discuss with fellow fighters to have enough with you for a healthy debate. Remember you can convince someone only when your logic is sound and when you have the facts on your finger tips

Letting people know

Discuss and debate when you hang out with your friends. It will help your friends get interested and will generally create awareness.

Use Multimedia

A picture of you doing something for the cause will definitely attract the attention of even people not from your immediate circle. A selfie of yours can let people see what you are involved in at any particular point of your campaign.

Be Social. Go Viral

There is a wide range of things you can do with FB, Twitter, Blogs, Tumblr and other social platforms—check out other famine fighters to see how they use these methods.

Videos made by you when uploaded will help take the message to a wider audience

Start an online fund raising page. You can even compare your progress against that of the other famine fighters

People you must absolutely look up

Family (immediate & extended)
Dads, moms, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties, grand moms and grand dads, and just about everyone else in your family who you know will help a good cause.

Your Community
Your teachers, team mates, at your favourite hang out spot, shopkeepers who know you well, your doctor and others who you think will help.

Create Campaign Collateral

It’s fun to wear a T- shirt that says what you are up to. Spend a weekend stenciling/ painting your message across a T- shirt and wear it whenever you can. People are bound to notice and strike up a conversation.

Create a poster and stick it on your car, or your two wheeler. Caps, Bandanas, T- shirts and Bags can all carry your campaign message.

Do look up this site for ideas if you need any or give us a call, we’d love to talk to you.

This Campaign has ended. No more pledges can be made.
